Listen what you're saying?? You talk about Wiggins like he the best player in the deal. I mean, I can't really entertain your opinion if you acting like Love ain't worth giving up Wiggins... I'm sorry. We don't have a platform to have a honest debate if that's the case.Why does it have to be Wiggins as the trade bait? The wolves are in no position of power. They have a disgruntled player who has made it clear he doesn't want to be there, with one year remaining on his contract. Flip can either get what he can and get some value, or he can watch Love leave and get nothing.
If I'm the Cavs I'd rather sign a couple big guys and have a platoon system at the C, and play Lebron at the 4 for a few minutes. Bron is a better defender as a PF than Love is anyway. Cavs are young and athletic enough to play an uptempo style of play on offense, and play a trapping style of defense how the 90's Sonics used to play.
Now if you only want to give up Wiggins as a last resort, I can understand where you're coming from. You may like Wiggins more than me, so I can see why you would be hesitant to move him, I guess.
As far as your point about the Cavs playing a trapping style of basketball, again, what did the 90's Sonics win? They went to the Finals once and lost, and got dealt with a Spurs-like Utah squad. Not really seeing the long-term championship outlook there.
Again, I think a lot of you want the flash over substance. Who else can argue a 19 year old Wiggins isn't worth giving up for a 25 year old Kevin Love??

I'm also questioning the premise that LeBron and Wiggins can efficiently play together against great teams. Memo: LeBron scores a majority of points in the paint. What's Wiggins going to do for him if Wiggins can't shoot or create his own shot or pass?
You all keep taking about transition and fast breaks when its a fact those are the two most insignificant aspects of the game when playing against high level of competition. Half court basketball. Passing. Shooting -- all can thwart the most athletic teams. Spurs obliterated the Heat this year and should have beat an even better Heat team last year that had homecourt with LeBron playing at a God-like level.
I mean, what are you dudes even arguing? Wiggins has potential to be what? LeBron's Pippen? That's not true because LeBron ain't Jordan, so what are we really saying? Jordan and Pippin complemented each other's game, LeBron and Wiggins overlap.

I like how some of ya'll saying Wiggins got next when there have no less than 5 rooks who have looked better than him in Summer League. Wiggins has flashed on a couple possessions here and there, but for the most part looks like an athlete trying to find a position. That's not what's hot in the streets for someone as hyped as he is, particularly when you can't get where you to against D-League talent.
I will tell you again, this guy is a hybrid PF ala a Suns Shawn Marion. He has physical skills that will be maximized playing in the frontcourt and weaknesses that will be him exposed playing in the backcourt.

Your missing the main issue most of us have.it's not trading Wiggins...it's trading Wiggins, Bennett, Waiters for love. If it was Wiggins for love straight up need be out of here.we don't have the remaining space to properly fill out the remainder of the squad.

For me this is key. A Varejao/Thompson frontcourt is not going to keep defenders honest and spacing will be a complete nightmare. Love would completely 180 this more so than any other player they could pick up next year.
That's the only trade I've heard mentioned besides the waiters, Bennett, pick offer.
That's why we keep saying we don't want to gut the team if it was a 2 for 1 I know I wouldn't have an issue but when they start talking about 3/4 of our players I have an obvious issue with it expect since we are not going to have the cap to reload.
Even if it was wiggins/bennet/waiters or Thompson for Love/Dieng/Shabazz.

Breh how is a team without a whole roster going to be favorite...I think it's only a few of it's who understand that even though Love it's extremely talented he is going to have to sit down eventually same with Be on or Kyrie...If we had even all the full exceptions most of us would be on board with a love trade....

The heat won the east with 3 players and shooters. If mike miller and ray go to the cavs like they suppose to, they cruising thru the east with love, kyrie and lebron
So that's a backup sg and sf.....I don't think your thinking about that 82 game grind.
People saying don't make the trade and wait for the players to develop as if the Cavs have 10 championship banners hanging in the rafters. Make the trade, win your championship now, just like the Heat did. You don't have time. Once LeBron gets to the point where he cant carry a team to the championship, this game is over for Cleveland. No free agents are coming there unless he ascends into the GM spot post retirement. Go all the way in and don't have any regrets.
The bigger problem is cats acting like K. Love is Tim Duncan and has all kinds of playoff dominance on his record. Adding K. Love doesn't guarantee anything other than Lebron flying around defending everybody and at least one member of the "big 3" missing time. If Love alone could lift this Cleveland squad to titles then he should have been able to lift his T-Wolves to playoffs at some point.
Lebron is bout to turn 30 in december. He is smack dab in his prime & has 4 or 5 prime seasons left (at most) before he starts slipping.
You don't sit on once in a generation talent. Lebron doesn't have time to wait for Wiggins to develop into a top 10 player in 4-5 years.
If wiggins wasn't being trade he would have been signed to his rookie contract already. Nikka is getting traded to the wolves the day after summer league ends.

Exactly so it's probably not wise to follow the MIA blueprint which demanded so much of him. If you ask Lebron to do what he's been doing in MIA he's not gonna last 4 or 5 more seasons. If you add Love and don't get a quality rim protector to back him up (they aren't exactly growing on trees BTW) how exactly is this team going to stop people? They don't need Wiggins to be a top 10 guy to win. They just need him to take some of the pressure off Lebron mostly on the defensive end. There is only one basketball and there are two ends of the court and you need to have guys that are contributing in other ways if you want to win.
Who cares about winning the east if you don't have a realistic shot at the championship? Beyond that the Heat won with 3 two way players and once they dipped on defense they got destroyed. Kyrie and Love have already dipped on D
