I remember an expert saying they should delay the launch because of the weather impacting the o rings or something like that. They never did because it was costing them money I think.

I even remember Columbia where some lady was informed of the damage to tte shuttle at launch, but ordered not to investigate it. If they did investigate it, they could have sent a rescue shuttle or something:francis:

There's a chance Regan had an idea. When he setup the commission to investigate, he was quoted as saying something to the effect of, "Don't go too hard on NASA. We're going to need them for the future."

I don't think he knew exactly what they were doing, but he was probably aware they were on some 'By any means' shiit

Raygun wanted to create his "Star Wars" program SDI. He needed NASA to put shyt up there if the shyt theyre were testing would ever bear fruit.

U mean like the 737 max?

"the worst thing about the challenger, the crew was still alive until they hit the ground
So, yes, human remains were found, along with some of the equipment they had worn. The report mentions a heart, a ripped open chest, a femur, and various other things you'd really rather not find alongside the road. There was enough found to determine how they'd died, and the types of events the bodies had been subjected to before/as the CM broke apart. They may not all have been in that condition - the crew survivability report was redacted to keep private such details, which is just as it should be - but I assume so. I do know that the crew remains had to be identified by DNA."
