Conversely Mitchell couldn't really commit a lot to defense given that the Jazz would go on awful scoring droughts because no one else on the Jazz could create their own shot and Rudy was a negative on offense. Mitch can now play marginally better defense and is surrounded by guys who have far more scoring potential.

That’s a fair point. And having two potentially elite defenders behind him may mean none of this matters anyway. Cavs will definitely be one of the most interesting teams to watch
