The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired Donovan Mitchell in a trade, sources tell ESPN.

A lot of yall really look clueless in this thread thinking mitchell wasn't that guy
His performances thus far still doesn’t change that notion as he will still have to prove it during playoff time and not be a turnstile on defense like he was last year. We know he can get buckets, but so can a lot of other players as well.

3 games into the season. Why are y’all acting like it’s the NFL :dahell:

Still need to see the fit with Garland on the court over the long haul.

Obviously tho Mitch is a better fit than that trash in NY

:whew:

@ISO put a clinic on schooling the RJ stans about Lauri and getting 1st or 2nd option reps with Utah. If Danny trades Clarkson, his numbers going up even more.

:picard:

In the game last night, the Jazz coach had to call a timeout because Clarkson was just going to try and win the game late by himself without passing the ball... despite Lauri cooking all game.

:mjlol:

Cleveland doesn’t give af about “fit” the team is built unconventional and it works. Besides y’all are going to stop underestimating DG. He has the ability to play both off and on extremely well. Bickerstaff also has off ball plays for Mitch. Which he has ran while allowing Caris to run the offense

Knicks fans take a huge L. :mjlol:
This is a casual take by a casual c00nish poster

Cavs don’t look any better than the Knicks. You’re box score watching ignoring how terrible the Cavs offense looked :mjlol: Donovan is still chucking and Mobley still can’t attack the basket worth a damn

The Wizards were down 7 with less than a minute left and tied the game with 25 seconds left. The Cavs are far from a contender

I will actually say that from the highlights; it does appear that the Cavs are more formidable than the Knicks.

But, again, that's never been for debate. People need to compare what NY would have looked like with Donovan and Cleveland with Donovan.

The Knicks would have

  • Given up way more of their proportional talent in comparison to the the Cavs roster.
  • As a result, would have been a worse team post trade.
Anyone saying that the Knicks took an L with their available options is just trolling. :skip:

I specifically do it in the playoff time when it matters most. A lot of guys can get buckets in the playoffs but being a two way player makes all the difference. Mitchell hasn’t shown that he can be that type of player even with high level he’s played on offense.
