He's looking like an MVP candidate and the Cavs are 5-1 with Garland missing 5 games. Is this going to be a thing where you're going to go hard and actively hope Donovan fails or falls off so you can win this argument?
:lupe:
The last I saw him in the playoffs he blew a 25 point lead in a close out game after being up 3-1. The first 6 games mean nothing to to me when I’ve seen what happens in the playoffs. If he gets out the second round, I’ll be impressed.

Let me guess, when they lose, it’ll be the team is young, it’s his first season there, so and so was hurt etc :comeon:

Man I’m just so happy to see he brought into our system man. On the defense end this year he’s killing it. Playing great on the ball and off the ball defense. Making hustle plays and sacrificing his body. He’s playing with that grittiness man. Best trade for us since Kevin love that was 9 years ago.
Dude is a leader. The missing piece

Different team, different coach, different conference. The team is low-key loaded. How many other teams in the NBA have 3 guys that made the ASG last season? Mobley is also in year 2, and they have depth off the bench.

Cavs are a Division rival to my team, so I don't want them to win either. But writing them off after this start because of the Jazz playoff history with Mitchell is... Wild

Basically if Donovan doesn’t win the championship he can always say he was right that’s how most of these clowns will double down :mjlol:

Markannen with 30/11 on 11 of 15 shooting, leads Jazz to back to back wins against the Grizzlies :mjlol:

So we gonna do this for bad games too? Or when the Jazz come to Earth and are losing?

Or only when a particular game fits?

Oh oh oh wait....

We be here all season :umad:

I’m sure the Jazz will come down to earth and Markannen will have stretches when he isn’t so good but ultimately he’ll still be outplaying RJ and showing more skills in total

Once again, the sole "skill" is 3s. Being a 7 footer who shoots 3s doesn't make him better. Scoring 20 on a bad team expected to race for Wemby doesn't mean anything to me because we know he can score 20 on a bad team as can a lot of players.

Also reiterating, I did not come back in this thread last week to emphasize who was better than who.

His sole skill isn’t threes and even if it was it’s better than Barrett who isn’t good at anything. Just shows you don’t watch games.

If you actually watched games you’d see Markannen attacks close outs hard, he can attack off hand offs whether as a shooting threat or straight line driver, he’s even gotten reps as a ball handler on P&R’s at his size, he is creating more offense with step backs. He has made hook shots and shows a face up game. He’s unlocked his game with the freedom he’s had from the Euro tournament to this Jazz team. He is basically an athletic, mobile 7 footer who can create his own shot and play in motion within an offense too.

He’s also actually struggled as a three point shooter and has been hyper-efficient inside. 85% at the rim, 55% from floater range, 18 dunks in 8 games.

Yeah they “supposed” to be in the race for Wemby but they aren’t because of him and because their teams synergy and talent is generally slept on.
