The Clipse grew up middle class, no struggle but gravitated to the drug game ... is this common?

Yes. I grew up with nikkas like this. I come from a working/middle class background, and I know several brehs who got caught up in the drug game and prison. The entertainment industry sells us this bullshyt image of ourselves, and so many of us buy into it, thinking we need to be that. Furthermore, the chicks love it. Low-key, this is the reason why lots of people do it. That d-boy lifestyle brings fast money, popularity, and adventure. I've seen nerdy brehs transform into d-boy types overnight, and have hella h0es. However, pretty much all of them have spent time in prison, and have trouble getting their lives back on track.

Usually dudes try to fight you whenever this gets brought up

Now I play the drake fan roll on here but I’m separating this from all that. Honest discussion... Niccas went from pool in the back living to running shyt in Virginia ?

This gonna shock a lot of you, especially those of you who don’t know many black people...

We are not all poor. We don’t all come from the ghetto. And the do drugs everywhere, not just in black neighborhoods

The problem I have with y’all saying we’re just trolling Drake haters...this post isn’t just about Drake and Pusha T

It’s about class

What’s this got to do with claiming the hood in your raps but growing up with a pool in the back?

Personally I grew up around poor black people so and I assume Niccas who y’all like Push grew up with a similar struggle :pachaha: be real you didn’t think Push was from the burbs :pachaha:

I lit the match and walked away from this b*tch lmao. This shyt did numbers :pachaha:
:salute:For this important thread. I didn't even know Pusha grew up in the burbs with a swimming pool out back. Puts everything into perspective now. Him and Kanye both grew up with silver spoons in their mouths. Parents gave Malice and Pusha Tea privilege and opportunity to do anything they wanted, but they decided to be c00ns rapping about selling coke to their community (or the poorer one a few streets over) instead.

do cacs really think all black people with rough upbringings have no dad :dahell:

No idea, vast majority of kids i grew up with came from single parent homes. My mom got remarried when I was like 8th grade but there was like a decade where I was in single parent home too.
If you from some black community where every body live in two parent households then congrats but that ain't been my experience in the majority of black areas i'm privy too. Feel free to share your zip code where it's common cause i'd like to compare the social economic status of that town vs. what i'm exposed to

second part... why do we keep referencing corner boys and mcdonald's salary.. a gram of coke can go for $100.... if you selling coke and bringing home mcdonald's money, you a goddamn fool. nikkas making more than that off weed. and you can also sell drugs AND work. who don't need an extra 2k-5k a month? you don't ever have to see a block. do you know 10 people who do drugs? wait at the crib for them to call, then go meet them, then go back to the crib... didn't take you nothing but a 15 drive.

shyt i just bought an ounce (28 g), legally, in dc for $160.. now i'm home in _____, where 3.5 grams goes for $45... i can literally make $360 back in 8 sales... that's if somebody don't just want the whole thing for a cool $300.. and i wouldn't see a block.. let 4-5 people know and be empty by tomorrow. and i got a job.. and i don't sell drugs. but while i'm smoking this thing down, why not get all my money back...

yea my friend claims this same shyt every time he sells a 8th out his ounce, yet he never commits to flipping his ounces full time :usure:
I wonder why :mjlol:
Selling drugs is not that easy , and people on the corner barely make gucci belt money. The legions of ppl in jail for months on low level drug charges cause they can't afford bail or private lawyers proves that beyond my anecdotal evidence of all the broke ass drug dealers i know. You think all 15 dudes on the corner are "flipping" cosignments? :stopitslime:. It's damn near a real job with hours and a boss. Only difference is if your "register come up short" you getting beat up or killed.
