Any company thinking this way is not worth shyt...

At the company I work the only people who really get promoted are the people who do automate large parts or all of their jobs...because the company wants to keep them around to automate other stuff...

I am a hiring manager for my department and it's just an unspoken rule that if you haven't automated your job to some degree then just don't even apply for our department cause we automate things WAY more complicated than whatever it is you think you are doing...

I typically ask candidates something to the tune of "name 3 processes you have automated and tell me how and why"

This happened to me at my last job :snoop: I'm not in tech professionally just yet, but I was doing tech shyt to automate my job that no one was on. And they praised it on a company level among employees, but when I tried to move into the tech side, they blackballed me :what: And when cuts came for my office, I was the first to see the door :why: and NOBODY else is doing this out of 11,000+???

Breh just get your experience and keep moving after a year or so.

There's no loyalty in this professional world unless you got a good state / government job.

Just search the Coli on your cell phone not over wifi. :manny:

I edited my host file on my laptop to reject thecoli.com so I don’t even accidentally visit on my work machine. Had too many idiots on here posting porn links and triggering the firewall.

I only use my phone with the guest WiFi access point

I fukked up and signed into google chrome with my home email, thinking it would make my life easier.

Well half my search from xvideos, pornhub and spankbang pops up.

I tried deleting it, but no luck, those search results remain ingrained in the computer.

Internet explorer has been a godsend whenever I have other employees around, and we're conducting some formal research....

Brehs imagine try up "analysis" and a series spankbang / xvideos links with anal popup :damn:

I’ve thought about this a lot in my career. There is no benefit to innovation on a salaried job. I’ve found ways to make my UX job easier to complete, but I finish shyt up too quickly. Like I can do a week’s worth of work in a day, using automation and short cuts. However, when I do that, it looks like I’m not doing any work for 4/5 days. I ask for more work, but there is none, I finish it too quickly. So, now, in order to not appear like I’m slacking off, and to not be bored, I purposefully go super slow...Do everything the long way. shyt is so stupid. I should be praised for doing work in an innovative way, but nope. The only way you can benefit from automation is if you work for yourself. :francis:
me and the wife be talking about this all the time. I told her. they have it all wrong when it comes to how employees are compensated in the day of tech and automation.

if you pay me to get 3 things done within an 8 hour time span. dont get mad at me when i figure out how to do it accurately in 2. as a matter of fact. you should actually pay me my 8 hours worth of wages for the 2 hours i worked. why? you dont pay me just to sit in a seat for X number of hours. you pay me to produce something for you. if i produce that something or somethings i want my money. and i should not be forced to sit in a seat looking stupid for the remaining 6 hours. These businesses always talking about cutting costs. well dummies, how's about you pay me for the 3 things i produced. and let me go home for the day or clock out if i work at home..for the day. i will no longer use up your networks bandwidth. i will no longer need to sit in the office using up your lights, computers, etc. how much money would they save if a lot of employees could leave once they were done with their Days worth of work?

but these companies want you to work for free. so they will say...here's more work. Naw bruh. i did my days worth already. so if you give me more within the same day, then i need more money. How much is it worth to the business for me to produce these 3 things, pay me accordingly. it has nothing to do with hours worked at all to be honest.

Been there :mjlol:

Way back my company set up a VPN system but ALL your traffic was routed through their network (not just traffic to their servers). All my porn downloads were showing up, my boss low-key mentioned high traffic over the VPN and let me figure it out :snoop:

Ever since then, I keep my nastiness off work or public computers. Even when I had to use my personal Gmail account to log into Firebase, I used a completely separate browser so that none of my personal browsing would show up on my main browser.

I had a thread about all these tricks a while back, but people trolled it
