Th
This true or nah?:

There is truth but not the whole truth.

Its a long video so I wont comment on everything.

I will say:

Sanctions/credit freeze:
Did sanctions make government officials steal government funds. We had a cash crisis in Zimbabwe which pushed up already high prices. Ousted govenrment officials were found with millions of US dollars in their houses. shyt you would expect from drug traffikers not "elected officials".

We pay rates and tolls and otger things to the government, in rands, us dollars and bond notes, where do they put the money?

They will say because of sanctions we are broke.

Do sanctions have an impact?

Yes but iiseems sanctions didnt stop them from importing luxury vehicles and goods and materials to build mega mansions...:francis:

So the video gives just enough information to raise doubts and get views and generate controversy but does not even begin to tell the whole story.

Why not look up books and interviews by mugabes peers who knew him as a young man and as a "younger man" during and just after the liberation struggle.

Mugabe was a great warrior who led the path to independence for Zimbabwe, but ended up being a terrible leader. The lesson here is wartime héros leading countries to independence and running a country are two completely different skillsets

Every Zimbabwean loved Mugabe and thought he would serve a term or two and step down.

And i belive some might have even willingly voted for him to stay in power if he had truly been the man people thought initially thought he was. But some commemts from people who knew him back then show that he was kinda a wolf in sheeps clothing from the beginning.

But it seems most liberation parties and groups dont want to let go of power when the time comes.

Many african leaders are incompetent, but he did the right thing, and that's the bottom line.

I know you cacs want the land, but it's not yours and you shall never return. Rather it go to shyt than be marganalised and second class in their own country like S.A. :pacspit:

Like i said wierd ridiculous posts about Mugabe or tge situation.

Or maybe just uninformed about the situation.

Black Rhodesians are less literate than Black ZImbabweans ...:camby:

his early tenure made Zimbabwe the bread basket of Africa

You really trying to c00n for US sanctions and UK reneggin on the Lancaster Agreement ? :dahell:

Let me see:

Mugabe and his generation - educated in rhodesia.

My parents generation - educated in rhodesia (taught by black teachers during colonial rule)

Mugabe inherited a functioning country. I hate colonialism as much as anyone but what do I gain from trying to pretend or rewrite history.

Mugabe/the government inherited a fuctioning education, health, transport and other systems.

They just had to maintain on and improve on and build further. But nothing was done. All the things deteriorated.

Thet stole state funds and could have at least used some it to at least maintain if not develop the country.

Im sure there were people who did not like what was going on and wanted to see progress and no doubt they were crushed before they even began.

I am not going to attribute something that as a Zimbabwean born and raised in Zimbabwe I know is not Mugabes doing to him.

No one praised him for crashing the country, he's praised for removing invaders. Everything that happens after that is between Zimbabwe.

Like I said in the OP:

I see that to some calling out magabe and other leaders like him is seen as a betrayal to the "black cause" by some...

How do you progress if you dont honestly address a situation and call a spade a spade? You will just keep repeating the same mistake.

This is what he fails to realise.

Mao kicked out all the invaders, traitors and was a war hero, for that he's revered, but that fukker still killed/starved over 100 million chinese, set them back DECADES by killing intellectuals during the cultural revolution, and yet, he's still on the currency. He's still a hero. People will always give more importance to kicking out, outsiders, and then keep internal issues...internal. To us Mao is a monster, but he's not to them, and even if they feel like he is, they keep that between themselves. They will use him as an example of a fighter against outsiders and as a warning to foreigners. That was what Mugabe was. No one said Mugabe did Zimbabwe right in the end, people revere him for kicking cacs off his land and giving it back to the people. It's not rocket science. His management was terrible, who the fukk doesn't know that?

You don't know what Mao did except what western (white) historians tell you.

No, actually it's documented among the chinese too. Deng Xiaoping himself apologised for past communist party atrocities, you make it sound like the second most populous country in the world does not document itself.

So he should have kept them there?

Yes. If his only follow idea was to steal the land and prevent other black people fair access to the land or prevent anyone else from attrmpting to run or improve things

Like some posters have pointed out, from the "bread basket" to poverty and hunger.
