Fact he's aware of it means he's not.
Not too late to change and she seems to be a daddy's girl.
I've got uncles who are completely oblivious to why they're children don't fukk with them despite being useless parents that's a true deadbeat

All facts. Even dudes who just drop off money and thats it are dead beats.

Nas was an 8th grade dropout from one of the most dangerous projects in the world with a God given gift who against all odds became the most celebrated lyricist who ever lived before he was old enough to legally drink alcohol….

Yea he made mistakes but he also made sure Destiny had a better life than he did growing up. No man whose a deadbeat makes his daughter the executive producer of one of his most celebrated albums so that she’ll always be financially taken care of.
He’s commenting on his own parenting…

Which means he’s probably seen things play out in his daughter’s life thus far that would lead him to make these comments.

It’s kind of amazing when a man truly takes responsibility and is honest about where he may have faltered —especially related to child rearing— and people are quick to disregard what he said.

Being a talented artist and providing financially doesn’t mean someone is emotionally present and pouring into their child and building their self-esteem.

We all know well-off kids who were ignored by their parents, etc.

Whatever you want to say, there was something wrong in that household when Lawrence Fishburn’s daughter turned to p0rn. That was a rich girl acting out for attention in the most demeaning and embarrassing way possible.

1). I was simply providing context. This isn’t the first time Nas has addressed his relationship with his daughter and the mistakes he may have made juggling parenting and being a young superstar artist. Most famously here

2). Correlating Nas/Destiny and Laurence Fishburne’s daughter is a false equivalency. One LITERALLY became a whore while the other became a business owner whose entire line of cosmetics are named in honor of her FATHER’S classic album

Nas found a way out of a place of darkness & death to provide generational wealth for his daughter, who took that and is keeping it going through her own entrepreneurial endeavors. Thats not saying he did everything right but he obviously did SOMETHING right
