Let me do a quick freestyle off the dome. I'll post some of my poems later

Black woman

Mother of creation
foundation of life and humanity
The regal beauty and alluring skin
Shape of a goddess

In you I see hope
The missing link to make me whole
I'm lost without you
In sobriety trying to find you
The missing link to my joy and happiness
Betrayed you and this is my comeuppance

Come back to me my other half
The reason for my existence and music to my soul
Apologies for hurting you
I would change that if I could
Let's start a new beginning
A fresh start to greater things
And build a great black nation
The envy of others and dream of our ancestors
I love you, black woman

I write some, this was the only one i could find on this computer to cut and paste, but i got a lot more:

I rolled out of bed to find nothing but Gray
I thought about the Times I was Dorian
Can't find a delorean, and my brain can't be born again
Christ I am cold
The only light that I can see is a Buick parked under the tree
I hate spiders, entangled in charlotte's web
Feel like Wilbur and God was the butcher
If I see a knife I will squeal for mercy,
yet a gun could be my salvation
Who would have knew the storms within me then
Would be weaker than the clouds that surround me now
Yet I crawled out of bed and open the door
And there was light.... and there was coffee
A note that read "730, mortons"
After a warm shower
I put on my favorite coat, red, and a pair of boots
The October winds glided across my face as I reached outside
The leaves were turning from the bland greens
To the vibrant oranges and yellows that shine in the sky now
I put the key in.... my top is down
But the down is now back up top
Time is cruel to those that soak in the sun but avoid the rain
But I a rose, thorns and all, and smile is all that came

How should I spit this
In my beliefs I have conviction
But at times I feel imprisoned
Serving a life sentence
Of living diminish
But before I finish my sentence
I appeal to my own conviction
And vow to introduce my
greatness that been hidden
I’m sure but I’m conflicted
Yes I know that’s a contradiction
But most of us have so many
it could be made into a composition
My mission is to limit how many
I have in existing
And join the resistance
Of those who stop wishing
And who have started living
Out what they talk about
Instead of living
In a dream
Let’s start living our dreams
So when you are lost
Follow your dreams
And you end up
Where you needed to be
See
I know it’s not that easy
But believe me
When it time for death
You will regret
Not giving life your best
I’m not saying be reckless
But be effective
Turn that wishlist
To a checklist
You may not be able
To get it all at once
But check it
You can get it done eleven
That’s one by one
Trust
When your life is done
You want to
Look back prod
Of what you done
They say hind sight
Is 20/20
But I always thought
That saying was iffy
Because you can’t get 20 20
If you don’t allow yourself
To get corrected vision
It fitting my mom
Went into labor
On a Monday
Because in life
A had a week beginning
Although I didn’t
Come out till the next day
I guess from the start
I liked to procrastinate
So from this
Day on
That is no more
It never too late to change
But if you wait too long
Before you know it
You are permittly late
Then it is
So I’m going
To make sure I have
A strong ending
And get across
That finish line
Even if I’m limping
And that’s my last tip
Because I will no longer wait
The time is now
I’m taking control of my fate

Work in progress. Just need to vent for a minute
(kinda in the doghousse right now)

Dedicate to Dee

Her words are seismic in structure
With the parting of her lips she
Pierces the heaviest of smog with its depth
Resonating mentally with the sacredness
Of her heart with the energy of Maat

Enchanted eyes ever-so a window to her effervescence soul
Twinkling like the constellation Cetus
With a warmth that is foreign to me....
Dignify and self-respecting Black Goddess
She is Yemaja. She is Osun. Her Hair long and flowing
Like the current within the Nile Valley River..........

Curves as if molded by the slight of a potters hand
Black Diamond with the sheer conscientious to uplift
My emotions and furthermore, The boulders of some of my own insecurities
Balancing my Libra Scales

Divine Entity, Emphatically
Unknowing a true blessing ....

Always
I don't typically share my work.

But here's a sample poem:

A Letter To Jay Dilla,

Hip Hop is missing you, Dilla I miss you too. The whole world is missing you.

Though they don't know, your music's in their favorite show.

Program, podcast I never thought that,

you'd be gone in a flash, bomb blast.

You Just Haven't Earned it Yet Darling:

Try to determine

Life through the eyes of a person

Constantly working on verses

My purpose is to make it and properly earn it.

Bay Area 3030:
It's a cold day but the beanie is warm

The wind and rain form to make a brain-storm.

Having dreams in this city of smog is how I found God in a bombed synagogue.

Letter To My First Child:
You're here, the light of my life, can you hear me?

I'm near you, in many forms, can you feel me?

You're alive, developing in the woman I love, my life is now your life.

You're alive, not a copy of me, you'll live your own life.

I had dreams, I came up short, you'll be short with big eyes.

You're small but your soul is big, you have large eyes because I want you to be a visionary.

I never met you, but I get you.

I never got to say I love you, but I love you, and although you're in heaven know nothing is above you.

I'd give half my life for the opportunity to hug you. I'd give you all the blood in my body for the opportunity to touch you.

I wanted so much for you, and I'm sorry I couldn't give it.

Your mom and I loved each other, we wanted you.

Some things are too powerful, I was making power moves

I didn't know I was taking life out of you.

I'm so sorry, you were my dream, and I came up short.
