Whats fukked up about learning something valuable?

If you want to be valued for your ability to digest literature so much, do it on the weekends if you're just going to bytch about how THE FREE MARKET (:lolbron:) doesn't value your skills.

Major in whatever you want.

BUT

Don't sit here and tell me we're all on the same level.

We're not.

What is this "level." Life is not a game. We all win the same reward at the end, breh.

He is pursuing an MS now, its a 5 year program for CPAs. Are you thinking about declaring a major, or not yet enrolled?
Im doing a semester here in Cali and then I will be moving to TX and might continue my college education there.

I havent declared yet but if I do I will most likely go the accounting route.

Nope.

My fulfillment, isn't yours...and thats the beautiful thing.

Chasing notions of fulfillment is what you're addressing.

I already know what mine is. You think ours are the same. They're not.

I don't actually. My fulfillment isn't the same as yours which is why your position makes no sense. You keep funneling people into a paradigm, determining what is and isn't worthless, putting everything in opposition...

ya'll got the nerve to complain about economies not supporting this range of college majors then not hold people accountable for their ability to create and/or contribute to economies. :stopitslime: :mindblown:

The economy isn't built for people to truly create and contribute, only execute

I have a degree in cognitive neuroscience. It isn't replacing Psychology. One explains what happens and the other explains why.

Philosophy is a funnel for science. It's not in opposition. Philosophy is a way of thinking and isn't necessarily taking itself too serious. It's brain games for those that indulge in the sciences.

You keep dehumanizing things and don't understand relationships between things. You think everything is in direct opposition.

Awesome. I have research in that lane. :obama:

...but the writing is on the wall for psychology.

Once you explain why it happens, then you've gotten rid of the "what"

I never said philosophy was in DIRECT conflict...but its not relevant to aspects of scientific inquiry.

It doesn't have nearly as much importance as its acolytes would have you believe. The romanticism especially in the post war period led people to think they're worth more than they are.

Its for people who don't have much stock invested elsewhere.

But don't sit here and tell me philosophers are on the cutting edge of anything...important. :heh:

:mindblown:...are you fukking trolling? I just said that.

We aren't the same. I know what my fulfillment is. You don't.

I'm not putting anything in opposition. I'm saying that its not on the same level. Big difference.

and somethings DO fit in a paradigm. Sucks to be them.

The economy isn't built for people to truly create and contribute, only execute

I'd beg to differ but...you'd just forget the other 190+ countries where things are SO much better :duck:

Neuroscience doesn't explain the subjective experience effectively which is where psych comes in, breh. That relationship will always exist.

How is Philosophy not relevant if it is the direct means by which scientist gain the propensity to tackle scientific inquiry?

I think college is like an investment. You invest in the right major and follow though and it might pay off with minimal risk. You invest in the wrong one and you take a big risk.
