I never even said anything of the sort. where you even get that from.

yeah, exactly. dame knew how to manuever, and thats how his team got what they did. it wasnt all jay and his mans. dame hustled and put it on for his team.

no, he didnt. its funny but once its all said and done, he stepped back and admitted that himself. I like that it wasnt coming from a place of hate and a need to bury someone, however. even old crybaby just said he appreciated how dame pulled him to the side to talk about his family when somebody passed away.

and through it all, I dont see dame really blaming anyone else, or dragging names through the mud. hes not coming off as sour. I believe him when he said he was hard on his team because he didnt want them to be lesser. thats how some big brothers are. so for him, no fake jerseys, no funny assed rhinestone belts, and no faking on deadlines for work. he was down for his team, and that deserves props.
we gave him props. but he should never get props for being a 24 hour A hole. i dont care what he accomplishes doing that. everytime you pump up an A hole. you set a tone. "all bosses need to be A holes" "all successful people need to be A holes"

thats not the case. there are tons of successful people that keep it respectful but know how to get their point across.

Damn sound like Just been carrying mad baggage and animosity towards Dame for all these years.

he was. notice the tweets. so was the other dude interviewing him.
again, two different dudes, both feeling the same way about you. maybe. just maybe its not them being soft. maybe its dame doing to much. just sayin.

I understand that. but I saw more maturity out of him in this interview and I think he grew up. at the same time, back in the heyday of the roc he got a lot done for his squad and he still showed tough love to them at the same time. its too bad that just and them dont like to be told what to do, and then ridiculed for it when they were fukking up, but thats what it looks like.

Dame is a smart dude. He's a fukkin jerk tho and he knows it. Sometimes it just takes that one motherfukker to ruin things cuz he too big for his britches. He's insecure which he admitted, he can't handle not being the boss which can be understandable but ego is a horrible thing when u project that insecurity and a$$holeness upon your employees. Dude was his own self destruction. The whole jersey convo was just background to the reveal that dame knew he fukked up and maybe he's at peace but he ain't proud how shyt ended. Jay couldn't deal with dude any longer and it was smart to cut him loose obviously.

When I say happy, I don't mean :pachaha:, I mean they have a cool environment to work in. If you want your business to survive, without conning people to stay afloat, why would you say you would knock out your main producer or CONSTANTLY put them down?. If anything you make sure they are happy so they don't do things to fukk your shyt up, and move on. There is a time, way, and a place to do things.

I'm still not feeling what u saying. I can tell off the bat u have never worked on a construction site because everything u just said goes out the wondow is such a situation. I can tell u never been in the military....When I was in the army the NCO's would say all types of sideways sh*t that u had to swallow.....Thats just the way things were and are. Drill Sergants will sh*t on a joe all day if it means straightening him out. Its not the bosses job to give an employee a cool enviornment. If I'm areporter and there's a war in the mid east....Thats not a cool enviornment but as a reporer I hadve to do my job.......How does a reporter look saying "Boss I know I was hired to be a reporter but there's a war were I'm going and its not a cool enviornment."

:rudy:

Plus, there is a difference from someone working at a job, and being a music producer that is helping your company make millions. A regular worker can be replaced, unless they have extraordinary talent, but someone who helped get your company a solid foundation in the game, is not someone you talk slick to, you want them to keep giving you their best work so you can keep making money.

LMAO.......Dude I cant co sign this, Dame Dash was a success story. What have u done that qualifies you to critique a successful man? What brand of clothing do u have in the streets? How many platinum records were u a part of? What TV station offered u a reality show? Do u have the skills to close a million dollar deal? Do u know how off it sounds when a man who hasn't had 1% of the success that a successful man has turns around and critiques the actions of that successful man??? What qualifies you to come to the conclusions that u have about Dame?

Dawg if Dame was so great he wouldnt have been blackballed by the industry

He was needlessly hard to work with. He said himself he was insecure and put up an act of toughness and a$$holeness to engender respect. But what really happened was he just made everybody hate him. A good boss doesn't have to make people hate/fear him to get shyt done

You are really comparing construction workers, and army people, to people who make MILLIONS OF DOLLARS being creative, and NEEDING a cool environemtn to work in so they can get their brains active!. Those things are so much different, then someone who just has to follow orders. Why do you think Dr. DRE left Deathrow?. He said he couldn't enjoy making records anymore, and it became stressful. He left did his thing, while Suge slowly fell off. The same with Dame. I don't think it's a coincidence Jay-Z kept Just blaze, and continued making hits with him. Jay, isn't a runover, but he knows hot to treat people who is helping him make money. No one wants to spend time trying to find another producer, when you have one in your face doing what you want, and you know him, so you don't have to build a rapport with him which means you can work, and get things done.

Again, you're comparing workers who can be replaced, with someone who is partly the cause your success.A construction worker, and soldiers are not hard to come by like a producer who is constantly making hit records, and helping you make MILLIONS. You forget, The Blueprint, solidified things for Rocafella, and Just blaze kept giving hit after hit for Rocafella. Kanye did his own things, and left to do his own thing so why would you play the man who helped you do your thing.

You can believe what you want, but anybody with sense knows you don't act a certain way with CERTAIN people. When you get power like the big executives, THEN you can do that, but dame wasn't there yet. I was just watching Ebro from hot97 talk about this, and he said the same thing. You don't fukk up relationships you have with people, especially when you're in a business that is all about networking. Dame couldn't get back into the game with all the high powered people he knew, because he treated them like shyt, and they were happy to see him fall, and not help him get back up. It's nothing personal, I like dame, but that is how LIFE is. You might get away with it for a minute, but it will eventually be your downfall. It has happened to TONS of people, yet only a few learn from this. Why, I don't know.

Nah, you can tell Just was still aggy from the way he remembered every detail about the confrontations with him and Dame. C'mon dude was still asking Dame to define an authentic jersey lol. Just was prolly on some "wait 'till I see him, I'ma let him have it!!!"...Dame is on the show, Just tells his stories, now he got the other DJ's on his show laughing at him...he was sounding :fire: "DAME I WAS NOT WEARING A BELT WITH GLITTER ON IT!!...I just had it in my hand :guilty:"

Everyone else in the room: :russ:

Dame is a real dude but he's an a$$hole too. But I liked the interview cause Dame kept it real about the culture and what's being promoted. Just was funny as hell, it's clear Dame affected his emotions at that time being a young guy trying to make it. Sad it all fell apart but I feel Dame is content with where he is and that's all that should matter. Jay was wrong for getting upset that Dame wouldn't give over the "Reasonable Doubt" masters. Why should he? He was apart of the reason that was as success. It's just crazy that Biggs is locked up and Dame is where he is while Hov on top of the world. Also Dame is not broke as the rumors may have said. He's got money but it's clear he lost a lot of money once Jay broke away from him. Roc-Nation is nothing more than Rocafella LITE. Legendary Label. Again I'm not condoning Dame antics but he's right, he was dealing with a lot people who are not from the culture telling him what the culture is. Hip Hop has become so corporate and that's why it's lost a lot of it's identity in the mainstream. Good interview though.

Are you guys dumb?

Dame was creating this persona of its all good I wanted out/I'm happy now the whole interview

All deception, he never wanted out of music which is why he created lame dash music group, black roc, signed and was successfully sued by Curren$y still has Jim jones all over his blog

Stop taking people's words as gospel and start doing your own research. Go look at the way he portrayed himself in Death of a dynasty, look at the way he portrayed Jay.. Nas called him Dame dummy and ironically he was right

As a professional, young black professional you better learn the art of code switching. Obama mastered it, other black leaders not so much ( only know how to communicate with blacks) jay gets it. Dame is yelling at white/Jewish execs like there nikkas at the rucker

Stick to art and cookies

Jay has achieved waaaaaaaaaaaaay working with Stoute than he did at the ROC. At the end of the day, Dame was more of a failure.
