Heaven on Earth

Men gossip and back bite too.. Just listen to the episodes that had Prodigy and Havoc on seperately back to back and tell me these dudes aren't fanning the flame on some "guuuuuuurl" sh1t...

I like the dynamic of the show and the music is EXCELLENT...But Combat is a Funk Flex type level dikk rider and they do all be acting messy as hell...

Dame definitely has an a$$hole side to him. I remember we all used to justify is on some "that's how you have to be in order to do business with these labels/corporations/industry white folks" shyt, but truth is, I think the guy is just a cocky prick.

He was being super extra with Just, reverting back to their old rapport, except now Just Blaze is a super rich, accomplished producer (if he's not in your top 10 producers ever, you're out of your mind) who doesn't need to take that shyt, and he talked back. Which, of course, only made it worse, but respect to Just for standing up to him.

All of that said, the rap game is certainly a whole lot less interesting without Dame in it. I was excited when he was doing that whole DD172 thing a few years back with Ski, Curren$y and em, but it seems like he just doesn't wanna fukk with the music game, and I can't blame him. The music industry seems to have the most snake like a$$holes in the world, and if there isn't even much money in it anymore, why bother if you don't gotta

Dame fell off but I don't think dude is doing THAT bad.
He's an arrogant a$$hole. If he really was dirt broke he wouldn't have been on the show.

:manny:

:birdman:

Breh, Dame hasn't seen a camera/microphone he didn't love. If he was so broke he lived in a box under a bridge, he'd still do any interviews requested of him.

That more than anything seems to be the biggest difference between Jay-Z and Dame. As someone once put it, Jay is the type to run from the cameras, Dame is the type to run to them. Nothing wrong with either mentality, and it made a great business partnership for many years.

I don't know..Dame has been pretty low key these days.
If it was a random interview then maybe but Combat Jack has thrown shade at him before and he KNEW Just was gonna be mad at him and still showed up.

And Jay is the type to run from the cameras?
The same Jay who hops on every trend and is pictured every other day with Beyonce?

:usure:

Low key type guys would NEVER marry a girl like Beyonce.
Jay is one of the GOATs but he loves the attention.

Because no one wants to talk to him if he's not gonna spill the beans on what really went down with Roc-A-Fella. He's given the same interview with generic ass answers about it for years. Eventually outlets probably just gave up. You think he was getting a lot of emails asking to speak to him about his art galleries?

It doesn't sound like he even knew much about the show.

How much press does dude do though? Yeah he's pictured out a lot, because people take photos of him everywhere he goes.

You can criticize Jay for a lot of things (trend hopping would be at the top of the list to be sure), but media hungry, at least for the last 10 or so years, isn't one of them.

I think Dame was trolling Combat Jack with the comments.
They apparently knew each other from way back. I see your points, though.

I can't agree with the Jay being media shy thing. If anything, he's the PR king of hiphop. He may not be as obnoxious as Diddy but he definitely wants to stay in the limelight. He may not personally enjoy it, but he's the type of guy to sacrifice some of his privacy to keep his "brand" hot.

Its official. At the end of the interview Just Blaze takes an even BIGGER L.

He recants damn near his entire argument.

just blaze and his long azz stories. daymmmn.

Now you know why even Just Blaze's mother doesn't call him anymore, she just text's the motherfukker.

He's the type of breh that you could ask him his date of birth and he'd launch into a full blown autobiography for the next 45 minutes.

The type of flapjaw to go through the drive-thru at McDonald's twice just so he can finish his conversation with the order point attendant.

He's probably sat somewhere talking to himself right now.

aiyo, Just, SHUT THE fukk UP!

a good lesson from this interview is be careful how you treat people when you winning because maybe one day you will be losing and that person is winning. think about who Dame was to Just Blaze at one point...now think of the dynamic, lol. I'm sure Just has more paper than Dame at this point, and definitely has more power in the industry. Just allowed him to do the show, he didn't need him as a guest at all, it's a favor to let dude promote his shyt. Dame had to sit there and be barked on and ridiculed by a dude who used to be his slave, lol.. he handled it like an arrogant harlem nikka but still, Just is the one who's Up now. life is humbling man, treat everybody good.

We all know Dame is an a$$hole to the fullest, but he doesn't strike me as the ass kisser type . I don't think it's so much he doesn't want to deal with the rap game no more, I think it's more so he burned too many bridges with his personality or wasn't up for sucka stroking the right people to stay afloat.

For sure. It's pretty easy to get away with being an a$$hole when you have Jay-Z, one of the biggest artists in the game, on your team. People will do business with you even if they don't want to. When you're rocking with Curren$y and Ski Beatz, it's a bit of a different story.
