Nintendo doesn't really have a viable direct competitor though. The Steam Deck is not competition to them. The PS5 and Xbox don't fill the same need. If anything Sony won the console war. They ran multiple companies out of the hardware business entirely caused Microsoft to not give a damn about hardware and put their games on Sony hardware and shifted Nintendo to a primarily portable maker.
