I still haven't played Fallout 3 (30mins twice )

Go look at the number of games released on xbox/gamecube/ps2 then compare them to them to ps3/360/wii. Not even close to the same amount of games. This gen will be even less games.

Not to mention studios closing left and right. Theireare way less games being released. You have major studios like acclaim and thq gone. Studios like capcom and sega are shells of their former selves. Square enix etc. Its not even debateable.

Classic games used to drop every damn month with new genres and strange experimental titles all the time. Every game now is fps, tps or open world and they all feel and look similar.

That era had classics dropping every damn month.


Go compare xbox's firsty party studios variety of titlez to what they offer now. Its laughable.


Entire new genres were popping up. Fps was just one of many genres back then. The games came fast and numerous and studios would push out experimental niche titles because they could.



Nowadays budgets are so massive creativity is pretty much dead.
