I might be the only person that liked the Corner more than the Wire... the Corner came off alot realer to me.. the acting was incredible.. especially the actors that played the fiends.... alot of the actors on the Corner ended up on the Wire... Show was based on a real family in Baltimore and i liked how they interviewed the real people on the final episode

its crazy how everybody and they mama watched the Wire but they didnt win no awards but The Corner was a criminally slept on show and it did win awards

The corner was a good show but it didn't have nearly as much of a plot and it had a slight Lifetime channel feel to it. It was a great show though. They pretty much stuck to the drugs aspect as far as addiction goes but you can see all the whole foundation for The Wire in the show.

One of my favorite shows ever. I think one of the reasons its so slept on is because alot of people never even saw it. It only had a few episodes

yep.

and it was before its time too.

the reason there were only a few episodes was that it was a mini-series. I don't think it was a case of a show that got canceled or didn't get enough play - it just ran its course.

HBO runs this on sunday nights occasionally -- I forgot all about it until I saw it again a year or two ago.
