My score fell from a 850 FICO to a 797 after opening 2 cards and paying off an installment loan. It won't budge anymore it's stuck there for several months. I'm guessing without another installment loan this is the best I can have now.

There's nothing you can't do with 797 that you can with 850. Anything over 750 gets you the best rates.

Im wondering how much of an effect the loan payoff had vs the 2 new accounts.

The 2 cards dropped my average account age to 6 years 3 months well under the 7 year target you're supposed to have.

I have a loan that'll be paid off 3 months before i plan on starting to look for a house...hoping im not effected much. Im in the 780s last time i looked.

Thoughts on increasing a credit limit solely to boost my score?

I only have one cc with a limit of $1500, but I like it cause I can't go crazy with it. People been telling me to go ahead and raise the limit but idk

Only buy things on a credit card you have enough money in the bank to pay off. Raise the limit. Your limit shouldn't be what keeps your u from going crazy anyway.

How did you get rid of the collections off your credit report? I have 2 that is listed as collection and I would like to get rid of the recent account. I would like to pay it off so I can bump up my score. I'm at 567 right now... I'm trying to bump my score up to the mid 600's by october.

Yo another thing. I just got a secured credit card with a credit line of 301 back on Jun 29th. I went crazy with it and used 50% so I can start repair my credit.. made a first payment of $20 on the 8th.. and I used it a couple of time after that... noe my balance is at $135. I made a payment of $30 yesterday and planning to make another payment of $60 next Friday .. Am I fukking up??

Dispute it online and sent letters. I sent em to credit bureaus
