Let me talk about how ignorant I have been for all of these years. It took me this long to realize that cash wasn’t relevant anymore. I’ve been walking around with a 600ish credit score and not using things like credit cards and loans outside of my home and car.

I was surfing YouTube and some dude said the wealthy spend other people’s money not theirs. And that cat was spot on.

so I was like I got a little bread let me see what I can do with this credit stuff. I got 4 secured cards going from $500-$1000 (2 each). Applied for some bs credit lines that got me like $15000 in store credit and bought some bs I’m never going to use.

did 4 secured loans with my banks where I just put $300-$500 into a savings account so that they would report.

long story short basically after all of the stuff report my credit scores went from

Equifax- 652 to 721
TransUnion- 656 to707
Experian-646 to 712

I legit think I can get to upwards of 750. I didn’t realize it was so easy I always was scared of credit to be honest. If I can get to over 750 for each I’m going to start applying for some real credit cards.

most importantly if my ass would of did this earlier in life I’d probably be able to be a PG for my business and would of already had some duplex or quadplexes.

Yes I’m also one of those fools who used to save money in the bank account until I realized I can use my money to actually make money. And no I’m not cert gang just a retiring ass Old Army Dude.

The rich/ wealthy don't use their own money for shyt. For millions in the bank and need funds, their borrowing against their assets at a very low rate while their investments grow... are exceptions though, one dude spent 300mm cash on a plane :picard:

Discover increased my credit limit from 1760 to 2600 last month . Just been paying down the balance, which was nearly maxed out in April to 40% now .

If you add someone as an authorized user do they get credit for the payments and utilization that you have already had, or is it everything that they do after you’ve been added?

Yes they get the card history and the extra credit utilization added to their account.

I don't recommend it. Nothing builds credit history than having your own card and making payments on time.

Read this whole thread in between yesterday and today. Had four collections. Disputed them all on Experian. Just got a email saying they all have been deleted off my credit report. Much thanks to all who dropped knowledge on this post. Was about to pay these joints too..
