glad this popped up. They been harassing me with balance transfer offers all month.
Yeah they usually do. I already had a card with them and figured, why not. It might save me some money. But they just give the run around and take forever to process things. Know better than to trust a credit card company. I'll keep my balances low from now on.

So I was wondering why my bank would only offer me a secured card. Then I decided to check my credit score and im at 650, with no debt that I knew of.

Then I see 2 charges that the collection agency is after me for. These charges were from the hospital after a car accident I had in 08. Well the thing is that was settled in court in 09 and my lawyer was supposed to pay those bills.

So all this time, my credit score was being dragged down thanks to my lawyer bullshytting:martin:

Help a breh build back up:mjcry:

Thats after 6 months (December to May) with a credit repair company plus putting in work of my own getting negative and inaccuracies removed.

Now I'm working on getting my debt to income down to 10-20% and leaving it like that for about a year. By then I should be able to get approved for the home loan I want (250k max) with a low interest 15/30yr rate (whichever one I could pay off quicker).
:wtf:

is it worth the 90 dollars a month tho to have a credit repair company? :patrice:

Brehs, I've got a question,I switched from sprint to T-mobile and t-mobile pays off my contract with sprint however I've gotten calls from this collection agency about the sprint contract, I kept going to T-mobile to get it resolved they kept sending me over to sprint to get some documentation, I bring it to t-mobile they keep saying sprint isn't giving me the right document but this collection agency keeps calling. What should I do? This has been going on since last october?

I did it for the convenience of not having to do it myself. If you have a good credit repair company they will do as many disputes at once with their personalized dispute letters. I even asked to see a copy of one since I was a paying customer.

Watch out for which one you do. Some will say they'll repair your credit and simply file a police report on your behalf saying you was a victim of identity theft or just do 2 - 3 disputes every 45 days (knowing you have 16 items that need to be removed) just to keep you as a customer longer.

So my landlord is suing me and former roommates for $10K (backrent), basically gone through the legal process to get the money we owe him, and if we're not paying him, he'll garnish our wages apparently.

One roommate basically just:yeshrug: cuz he's a musician and gets paid in hard cash and paypal.

The other plans to have his job pay him under the table and pretty much told him. :umad: And to drop:dead:

I'm trying to figure out my best course of action which would be not paying the cancer ridden slumlord a dime based on the principal of the fact.

Should I just declare bankruptcy or is there a better way to work this out?
