Why would a lender lie?

A lot of them are snake oil salesmen. Look at all the people that got hosed for those sub prime mortgages years ago. Mortgage underwater and owe way more than the house is worth. They want you to fukk up and miss payment or be late so they can collect more fees/penalties.

What's been working for me having 1 card dedicated strictly to bills and another for other shyt. If im buying groceries / paying my phone / putting in gas I use card 1. If i want to eat out or go to the movies I'll use card 2. This on top of paying my car note on time has help my shyt grow pretty quick. I think I was around 610 around this time last year.

Go for the secured credit cards and you always want to go with A lenders like banks and credit unions. B lenders are like Capital One, but do not go for those store credit cards. There more trouble them helpful in the long run.

All this is true....But Capital One will be more likely to give you that break as opposed to a major bank.....Say what you want about some of their questionable lending practices....but they absolutely have the credit card game on smash..........

SDFCU is the best secured card. Low Apr, soft pull, no annual fee, graduates WITHOUT CLOSING the original account. This is important for your AOA....age of accounts.

You want to go to a bank, one that you have an account with. Talk to a banker about getting a secured credit card, you have to give at least $300-400 to set your limit. For about a year to 18 months buy stuff and pay it off EVERY MONTH! Stay under your limit, if your limit is $400 only put like $100 on it every month.

If you need another line of credit go to fingerhut.com and apply for the fresh start program. The tradeline reports to all 3 bureaus.

Stuff on the site is a bit more expensive than usual but your using this to re establish or establish credit for buy something cheap and pay it off. They increase your limit frequently when you finish paying for an item and on time.
