Cause 2 40 year old nikkas squashed some beef it's gon tell all these 20 year olds to squash theirs? like these youngins haven't seen their own people get killed and still decide to keep on with whatever fukkery they're in. They aint changing nothing right now.

30-40 year olds gon realize that shyt was stupid and go home to be a family man.

what we are saying is music is PART of the greater issue not the CAUSE of a damn thing. What the music does is perpetuate the vitriol that lends itself to black men and women hurting themselves and one another.

That being said music is probably the most powerful media know to man. It has the power to influence, change minds, cement and motivate ideas.

But every thing wrong with the black community was happening way before rap music was even invented. So anything that yall claims happens because of rap aint really because of rap.

That's true, but also a bit of an oxymoron because the first New York rappers predominantly were from the South (or either from the Caribbean). I think historically these groups migrating and immigrating Blacks outnumber those who already lived there for centuries.
Anyway, I do agree that Southern rap was "and is" mostly lame.
The few I liked are Outkast, Ludacris, Little Brother and Jay Electronica.
