But for real, you know Carmelo has to be seeing how Kevin Knight is being treated and thinking to himself “that could have been me”
*insert Dolp Zilga gif*

But for real, there’s always room for more talented wrestlers. :obama:

Os/Melo
2K/Melo
Omega/Melo
Rico/Melo
Swerve/Melo
Shelton/Melo
Hangman/Melo
Darby/Melo would be interesting
Bandido/Melo
Okada/Melo
Lio/Melo
GOATmander/Melo (10 star classic that might blow up the universe :banderas:)

:whew:

Got damn, even matches with Mortos and AR Fox would be something worth watching.

Wait until UFC also starts sending their washed but popular fighters to WWE to extend their careers within TKO. They’ve already talked about doing it, only a matter of time.

Truly the FORBIDDEN DOOR, because what happens when the Dan Severn, 3rd Impact Level event happens, and 5 UFC Fighters start shooting on the Bloodline and throw them all out in the Royal Rumble. :dead:

I don't know if it's because a majority of the PPVs have had weeks of build up to this point, going back to Survivor Series, but Backlash feels like it's being thrown together.

Part of it is because guys who should be on the show won't be (Cody, Punk, Roman). Another part is them getting rid of the rematch clause. In storyline, it makes no sense that Gunther wouldn't want a rematch for the WHC. Why is Jey wasting his time with Logan Paul when he should be trying to defend his title against the guy he beat for it? Why is Gunther having a match against a fukking commentator? Because he attacked him once? Pat couldn't even sell it, he was back on TV the next week.:dahell:

Then the multi-man matches. It made sense at WrestleMania, but you can tell in the Triple H era, they can't book PPV matches with this amount of time. They also can't decide who the #1 contender should be, so they're just like "fukk it. Put them all in the match." If Drew's the #1 contender, shouldn't he face Jacob one-on-one? At least that's a match they haven't done it......I think. They could have had three weeks worth of fire segments between them.

I'll give Vince credit, he knew how to sell you a PPV in three weeks. And in the case of Backlash, a PPV like this has to continue stories from WrestleMania or end them. Literally nothing happening at this show is continuing anything outside of Lyra/Becky. If Vince was still in charge, Seth/Bron vs. Punk/Roman would already be booked, but we're not going to see that match until July at the earliest.

Regarding Melo…

Melo in AEW is a layup. He has the work rate, charisma, can be a heel or face, and already known. he’d get over fast. So many potential matchups would be :fire: :fire:

Putting him in the Hurt Syndicate would be money. I’d fantasy book his debut to come out during a HS match or promo battle wearing a mask, attack the opposition, then reveal himself. He’d get a pop TK thought he’d hear for Butcher and Blade. :lolbron:

I can see him getting that Swerve journey and becoming a made man. If some people in AEW surf TSC, yall gotta start whispering this shyt to TK. :banderas:
Triple K doesn’t have a long term plan for Melo. He is just using him to elevate others guys in the mid division. Melo is being a good team player but he should look at other options once his contract is done.

I think the quick turnaround from WM is not giving a lot of stories time to build up. It’s does feel like a glorified house show but hopefully they will make it up with MITB in June.

Yeah, I feel like they made it harder for themselves by not just booking rematches from WrestleMania. And it's also the fact that guys just leave afterwards. Roman's part-time, so no matter what you do with him, you have to put it on hold until he comes back. I don't know if Punk is going to be there tomorrow, I don't know when Cody is coming back. Charlotte left, Bianca's injured, Liv's shooting a movie. Jey will probably just get an easy setup match against Logan if he even makes the card. Plus, they have Saturday Night's Main Event now, so if they need a show where they can throw together low-stakes matches, it's right there.

It’s worst show of the HHH era definitely. No other wrestling company would dare send every top star away for at least a month all at the same time. That’s arrogant. And you know Cena and Orton gonna have a house show ass finish that they’re all gonna laugh about backstage

That’s not how corporate takeovers work breh. I’ve been a part of three across multiple industries.

HHH has no final say in anything. That’s his responsibility right now because they allow it. We’ve seen this with WCW multiple times.

That's what fukked Bishofff and WCW up. That Time Warner takeover

0 direction or long term vision they just booking shyt week to week no more bloodline main story to save you triple k :mjlol:
For everyone that celebrated the end of WM40 did they not realize that it was also the true end of the Vince regime? From that point forward anything good or bad was 100% HHH, and the only good things were Punk vs Drew and the Naomi heel turn. Roman feels like he's just pretending to be the tribal chief now, Bianca has been diminished(she really needs to stop kissing HHH's ass), Cody's reign was a flop, Gunther was a boring champ, all the belts except the women's US title(thanks to Chelsea) feel worthless, and the shows are a chore to sit through. This is why the IWC is so pissed at Rock, because he was to provide cover for their precious Papa H :russ:

Yep. WCW putting out a garbage product isn't what did 'em in (it certainly didn't help tho lol), it was Ted Turner getting forced out of his own empire is what did it.
