Why was he hiatus for 8 years? would have been better if the film started off with a collage of him fighting crimes and evading police as the years go by so he gawd status at the beggining of this film. Instead we had a weak ass batman throughout the whole film. Also there was too much dialogue and the film dragged in parts, not enough fight scenes. Nolan cant choose good women for shyt Katie holmes, Maggie gyllenhall, Anne hathaway should have had a more brolic mean looking catwoman. Bane being killed by anne hathaway?

Apart from all that I still enjoyed the film I just think it could have been done a lot better.

There's explanations, sure, it was just kind of an eye roll inducing moment, him just walking up in sweater/slacks, freshly shaved, out of fukking nowhere, when he was looking all Grizzly Adams two scenes ago. Too smooth, too slick.

The whole last act was full of bullshyt, and nonsense, but it was overall straight. The pacing, dialog, were all flawed, why waste time showing Franco from Rescue Me? I think they had some definite problems with the script, running time, everything, it just gets so choppy towards the end. And the timer on the bomb...was so lame.

But, in all fairness, the same issues are in 'The Dark Knight', no denying that.

yea thats another thing that bothered me. batman was all old and grumpy lookin, they didnt even bother to make his return dramatic at all. not his clean shaven return, or the batman return. This movie started out with a good idea, good promise, just HORRIBLE execution. its kind of frustrating. I mean they hyped this movie for YEARS but treated it like just another regular b- hero movie. Like there is litterally nothing really memorable about this movie outside of batman and banes first fight. the rest of this movie is a bunch of nonsensical stuff thrown together to hopefully make sense out of everything else the movie is doing. Batman is only in 3 scenes this movie. fukk THIS MOVIE.

I liked the movie, I had fun, I just don't mind pointing out the problems, as well as the attributes. As far as women, the only one that isn't really MY type Maggie Gyllenal, but Joey Holmes was good, and I'm not even an Anne Hathaway fan, but she was great in this movie, acting and looks wise. But, almost everything that was wrong with this....was wrong in the 'Dark Knight', imo, we are just more critical...because it's the second fukking time. Nolan, as great as he is, has his flaws too.

Far as I could tell there wuz no sort of "No Fly Zone" set up....there just couldn't be sum obvious escape measure to rescue thousands of people,they woulda noticed and blew the city up...but one man droppin in

There are ~20 days until the bomb goes off when Bruce finally escapes the pit. How do we know that? because Fox/Tahlia tells the Special agents how long they have before the bomb explodes. Then Bane kills the agents a few moments later and hangs them from one of the bridges. Then we cut to Bruce watching the agents hanging from the bridge from his tv screen in the cell. So with 23 days to go, he fails on the first climb with the rope, knock himself out again, then the next day or so, he escapes the pit without the rope. When he finally returns to Gotham, there is 1 day to go. So Bruce has plenty of time to get back to Wayne Manor/Batcave, which is outside the city, grab "the Bat" and fly it in during the night. People think the Bat was parked on that building for 5 months? No, its been in the Batcave. He flew into Gotham the night before to find Fox because he needed a new Suit. Then we go from there...

In Batman Returns Catwoman got his ass a few times.

After Dent's death they passed the Dent Act which made it easier for cops to go after organized crime. No crime = No reason for Batman. Fighting crime also left him beat the fukk up. He lost the love of his life so he pretty much said fukk life. They explained this in the movie.

I mean, the name of the movie is The Dark Knight Rises. It's there in the title, Batman is going to have to go through some shyt, that was apparent when the title was first released.

I'm sure just like in every section of the coli most of us our overly critical for discussion purposes...that's all I can guess these complaints are,none of these loopholes I've seen pointed out so far really are movie changing shyt lol,I actually seen a nikka ask "how do Bane eat food,they never explained it"...first scene Bane said he could take the mask off,u kno how bad it would stink in there if he couldn't?

I can understand the not enuff fights critics that's true,but these plot holes nikkas is talkin about really are not glaring unless u lookin to criticize...none any worse than the TDK...as a movie this is much better front to back to me...and Joker couldn't fight Batman like Bane could wuz the only reason for fight sequences....it wuz more about plot twist last movie as well...they decided to not give Joker cartoonish weapons to fight Batman with in TDK and it showed in there last fight where they mostly talked,and Joker hit em with a cane and put dogs on em Bane beat the dog shyt outta Batman punched his mask in and wuz boxin this nikka like he wuz one of the Klitscho brothers,u could feel every blow....no need for a bunch of extra fight sequences when u finally have a villian in the movie that can fight Batman hand to hand combat outside Lien Nielsen....speakin of which that Taken 2 Trailer

And Batman hadn't got his swag back at the beginning that's why he looked weak....that wuz the whole metaphor of him climbing out the pit,he wuz goin thru the motions before and didn't care if he died...the jail time had him comin out in beast mode again...and I don't know if the pit wuz supposed to be Lazyrus pit or if that doctor in there had special techniques outside of hanging him from the cieling.

But in the book Batman wuz Christopher Reeves status and a quadrepledgic yet he came back now y'all made he got killed from a hurt back too soon...how u get healed from bein a quadrepledgic at all?its fukin Batman can there be no element of "magic" or unrealistic shyt happening simply bcuz they don't wanna be cartoonish like they would in a comic book or cartoon,and have sumbody with glowing hands touch batmans back and heal em?catwoman wuz very good just not as good as Scarface wife in the other Batman.

The griping over the "realism" is a bit much IMO. I just didn't think the movie was as fun or enjoyable as TDK. It's a superhero movie, so yeah, there will always be some bullshyt going on to advance the story.

And I liked TDK's ending more than TDKR's. TDK ended and got me hype for the sequel... I guess I was too hype for it.

The horrible edits that didn't give scenes enough time to develop to let us soak in the dialogue and moments

The damn music playing during a lot of the dialog, shyt was so unnecessary

You can't have these and other problems I'm sure I'm forgetting, with the expectations you created and embraced
