My idea would keep the gritty/kinda realistic aspect of Nolan's but change the era.

I would have it set in an art deco type of manhattan.

Examples would be that recent king kong movie, dikk Tracey, batman animated series look.

Everyone in top hats old style vehicles etc etc.

I would cast that dude from mad men as batman.

Instead of fox I would replace him with nikola tesla.

The story would be about a CIA/mafia war and conspiracy with the mob being taken over by a failed experiment by Hugo strange.

A new mind control brainwashing technique that goes wrong that indirectly creates a skitzo/bipolar individual who expresses his anger thru a dummy by the name of scarface.

I would also throw in Rupert Thorne who was a crime boss in the animated series as the political angel in the story who is attempting to run for governor against the penguin.

I would have batman doing real detective work as well.

Alfred used the bat computer most likely or some back channels but it would take away the scene of Alfred being scared if bruce did his own research . Bruce is a detective saw how he peeped what catwoman did to the safe in like 5 minutes. The funny thing is Alfred wanting Bruce to quit for fear of bane to let gcpd handle it,oh like they handled joker ? those niccas would get rocked by bane just like Bruce first time . How bout he give some useful intel on how to beat him

It still does not change the fact that as good as these trilogy was, one or two instances of detective work did not do nearly enough to show just how skilled he is in this area.

It's like how Clark is this great reporter and very smart but to the average reader / viewer he just wears glasses ,waits for something to blow up then dips into a broom closet to save the day . Then lois writes the stories . Not to mention he dips for months to handle jla stuff

Unless Nolan starts doing James bond movies like he says he does
