- Bane's body count....dude killed ALOT MORE people than the joker did with the bombs and the bridges....however it didn't FEEL like it...partially because we didnt get any development of anyone he kills. Joker FELT like he killed more or was more evil because the people he killed were SHOWN to us as in his way...or totally innocent and in his way....or something he wanted to do for the lulz. Bane was such a mastermind that it kinda took away from the fact that he took Gotham over for half a year.

:dwillhuh:

Bruh he murdered two football teams and executed the scientist in front of a football field(which was most likely televised). He was hanging nikkas off bridges and shyt.

Bane was

..but lets not pretend now that Joker didn't put in some work. He took out made men, politicians, had the mafia  to him and he killed the love of Batman's life.. plus, drove harvey dent insane.

dude.. bane broke bruce financially, physically, and spiritually...i mean used everything that ra's taught him against him. all in one big sweep and that was only HALF WAY thru the film.

THEN he seamlessly took the ENTIRE city of gotham hostage while trapping the entire police force at the same time.

the joker only could of WISHED he could of achieved to those levels!

yeah, and for most of the movie it felt like he wasn't as "evil" as the Joker...only because Joker has no logic...and thus it makes his wanton violence seem all the more powerful. Bane is a great bad guy no doubt i was VERY impressed by Hardy's performance...especially the physicality of it...but i think the Jokers killings came off more meaningful not to mention he drove Dent insane which is really a crux of the first half of TDKR isnt it....the fact that they covered up the truth about Two-Face...

TDK is still the best in the trilogy....in the same way The Empire Strikes Back is to Star Wars....but lets not forget we all still love Return of the Jedi (sans ewoks.)

Joker loved to personally kill people. He carried knives and described how he loved to be up close and personal when he killed. Most of the people he killed in TDK we saw him do it with his own hands. I haven't seen TDKR but I'm guessing thats why you get that feeling with Joker than with Bane.

I agree with you, it would have allowed better exploration of the films themes

I can understand what your saying it could give bane more of a background and talia more of background too if they did that

they could of ended it right when he broke his back and put him and prison and then do part 2

regardless i still loved the movie though :ahh:

TDKR seems more of a direct sequel to BB than TDK to me with the linkage to the League. TDK is almost like a stand alone in some ways in the trilogy.

Who y'all think terrorized the city better, Joker or Bane? I mean its hard to top a nuke and all, but I guess what movie displayed that better in the villain terrorizing the populace?

Saw it last night.
Those combos Bane was throwing :deadrose:

Some people complaining about all the punches but in real life street fighting how effective would kicks be? A group offices around you and all it takes is one misplaced foot or missed kick and you on the ground getting stomped
