Entertainers can NOT help us in the end. They can help with images and social awareness, but in terms of institutional power, they can never truly lead because they always are at the whim of:

Agents
Consumers
Directors
Media
Industry gate keepers.

These people are not independent and never will be free enough.

a lotta people mock those who "rise up the ranks" in corporate america... but then on the same time forget that independence can't come through just wishing it. Theres gotta be some steps taken regardless.

Plus, theres no guarantee it'll work since you still need people to rock with your business or endeavor... Black success AND independence is still dependent on whether or not NON-black people do business with you.
