S.O.C was for everyone while this documentary was for us. Ask ten people today if they saw S.O.C. and then ask if they saw Defiant Ones, guarantee 9 of them say "Defiant Who".

I know this wasn't a feature film or advertised like the movie but that's why they could speak candidly about it because it wasn't for the masses.

I still haven't finished it yet but will tomorrow since I'm off.
You know what I like how you worded that :ehh:

snoop named 3 crews that were deep and ready for war that night and Wu was one of them. But i know they didn't fukk with bad boy so im sure they just enjoyed the fukkery

Wasn't that Nas that was narrating that shyt?

Actually I could have done without the Nas commentary. That nikka sounded excited like he was in the middle of all that shyt.

Even if they portray Iovine as a saint on here, i feel like he was fueling all the rap beef in the background.

If he cared about Pac and them he would have sat them down and tried to bring about some sort of a truce?

This documentary just proves that alot of "Straight Outta Compton" was :duck:

I'm actually surprised that Cube and Dre still had the nerve to be interviewed for it knowing that.

Excellent documentary though.

That DOC shyt fukked me up.

But that's the diff between a movie and a documentary... you can do things in docs that work for docs, not necessarily for movies. It makes no sense to compare them, same thing with how people compare the Pac movie to 'Tupac Resurrection'. It's two completely different things- actors and writers aren't gonna tell Pac's story as accurately as Pac can, no matter how good or bad they are. Docs are for facts, movies are for entertainment- so sometimes, things are gonna be shortened or condensed for the movie's sake. There's literally not one biopic that is factual/detailed to the bone.

The parts I watched, which included a good Suge Knight story, of him gluttonously ordering dish after dish, while telling Harry O's wife, he was on his way to the meeting, the 2pac introduction, it's all very well done, and nicely put together. When it came to shots of Dre on a private jet, staring pensively into the sky, I had to cut it off. I love the value of the production, but this is pure propaganda, or too much for my taste, Iovine looks like a creep, and Dre has never been a favorite of mine on any level, though his contributions are to be respected.
