Watching part 2..I knew about the D.O.C accident but knowing the full story & seeing him listen back to his vocals before the accident was fukkin sad smh..Him saying he had the world in the palm of his hands & it was because he was a beast on the mic

Overall a really good and in depth docuseries, Iovine just holed out in the bathroom for a year trying to get NiN out of their contract, Dre and Em really owe each other everything they have, they both bet the farm on each other when both were on the verge of losing whatever it is they had left at the time. Jimmy and Dre are a powerhouse team.

Overall it was a great documentary. I am wondering if Jimmy is Mobbed up. I would give it to him that he stuck by Dre through all the turmoil. I still think Detox should of been released but Dre his too much of perfectionist. They both are perfectionists

At the very minimum he has some heavy connections. His background and access to the industry in his early stages suggest it.

The story of him telling a guy like Fuchs you might be MJ but this is baseball suggests he had some serious backing. Fuchs fired Morris but not this guy who's openly punking him in meetings and clowning his mandate? Guys like Fuchs don't bow down easily.

Had no idea about Iovine being a engineer/producer early in his career..gained more respect for him seeing how he really grinded & leveled up

Morris Levy is involved in both stories. But yeah, some kid that got fired from sweeping floors continuing to show up and get a shot at working with big-time artists...you didn't get those kinds of second chances unless you knew or were related to someone with some influence. Probably be liable to get your ass beat and thrown out. Jimmy presents it in an aw shucks way but it's not hard to read between the lines.
