Why? If cashiers take fake bills, their wages are docked. There’s an incentive (and fear factor) in place to ensure cashiers always double check this. He did his job. The problem is the cop didn’t do HIS job, and instead killed a man.

apparently the person floyd came in with, was someone who came into the same store before wit a fake bill.

the cashier said floyds friend was actin all weird and shyt when he gave him the bill, like he was trying to pull a scheme, so he didnt accept it and the guy left.
( this was on a different day, not the day floyd was killed)

he said even though floyd was high or on something, he didn't seem like he was givin him a fake bill on purpose, which is why he kinda wanted to let it go and not make an issue.

it wouldnt surprise me if floyd asked his boy to give him a 20 and his boy gave him a fake bill without george even knowing
