They're establishing character for the jury and shyt. This jury isn't supposed to know all the things we've already heard about or presumed about Diddy.
As far as I know, all you have to do to make ties to RICO and sex trafficking is prove that he's moved escorts and drugs, and guns across states to do all this shyt. And kidnapping can be as small as "I wanted to go but he physically threatened me, or blackmailed me".

So showing him beating her makes the case for that. I think a separate conversation could be "is that too low a low bar for establishing RICO?" If i'm wrong, i'm certainly open to the discussion. But I think what they're laying out clears the bar IF they can tie it together. And they're not obligated to do so in a way that's entertaining or super revelatory to us.
