I give Puff a lot of credit for taking this trial. Taking a RICO case to trial takes a lot of balls. Also, a lot of money. A near delusional belief in yourself.

He probably was offered a 10 year deal and said no. This saved him about 6 years of his life. Most people would have taken the 10 or 12 year deal.

He should take this sentence like a man too. Just go chill and read, he's going to be in a low/medium camp somewhere. He'll be fine.

He was offered 27-33 years. He kind of had to go to trial.

They said Puff was spending like a mil a month on legal fees, insane to have that level of resources

Now that the clown show by the judge and prosecution is over Diddys defense team can let their nuts hang and go to work. They know the worst case scenario now.. and thats him serving about 2.5 years (based off time served and potential programs for 1st time offenders). They will appeal the sentence and the judge left the door wide open by using acquitted conduct as the primary bases of his ruling. They will still appeal to get the mann act charges thrown out entirely as well as looking into a presidential pardon.

The defense deserves credit for successfully showing other cases were people did worse and were actual pimps and received much lighter mann act sentences. The judge was boxed in by those cases and unable to justify the prosecution and probation office sentencing recommendations. Even with the acquitted conduct the judge could only try to justify giving him just a little over 4 years. Based off precedent he should have got time served. Even if the judge claimed he wasn't just a john... he was much closer to a john than he was to a pimp. These were according the jury.. consenting adults.

Diddy will be out soon. Whether thats on appeal or through pardon. This case was an embarrassment and waste of resources.
