Now that the clown show by the judge and prosecution is over Diddys defense team can let their nuts hang and go to work. They know the worst case scenario now.. and thats him serving about 2.5 years (based off time served and potential programs for 1st time offenders). They will appeal the sentence and the judge left the door wide open by using acquitted conduct as the primary bases of his ruling. They will still appeal to get the mann act charges thrown out entirely as well as looking into a presidential pardon.

The defense deserves credit for successfully showing other cases were people did worse and were actual pimps and received much lighter mann act sentences. The judge was boxed in by those cases and unable to justify the prosecution and probation office sentencing recommendations. Even with the acquitted conduct the judge could only try to justify giving him just a little over 4 years. Based off precedent he should have got time served. Even if the judge claimed he wasn't just a john... he was much closer to a john than he was to a pimp. These were according the jury.. consenting adults.

Diddy will be out soon. Whether thats on appeal or through pardon. This case was an embarrassment and waste of resources.
judge said he didnt use acquitted conduct

Just cause the judge says it doesn't mean its true. All of his words are on the record and will be used in the appeal.

The jury found him innocent of rico and sex trafficking by force fraud or coercion. The judge repeatedly referenced force and coercion in his sentencing. Sex trafficking requires force, fraud or coercion in transporting. Mann act does not require those things. It just covers the act of simply transporting people. So if the jury believed there was any of those 3 elements (Force, fraud or coercion) they would have found him guilty of sex trafficking. The judge including force, fraud or coercion in his ruling effectively nullifies the jury verdict.

He also said they were victims. The jury did not find them to be victims. The jury did not find any trafficking through force fraud or coercion. They only found puff guilty of literally transporting consenting adults to engage in prostitution. In his sentencing the judge barely mentioned the mann act at all. All he did was reference the violence and things that the "victims" said (But didn't prove) happened to them at trial in relation to the 2 charges he was acquitted on.

His guidelines was 4-5 years. I didn’t think his guidelines would be that high but i don’t know how many points the Mann act is worth. Clearly higher than a normal prostituon charge.

A little town called none ya got damn bidness
Should've been sat down for DV if it was reported within the statute of limitations. It wasn't. Then we get this trial where crazy fukkery was expected (wild orgies with celebs, pedo activity, etc) only to find out a freak off was him paying dudes to smash his chicks (Non Harlem cuck shyt :dame:) and all they got him for was flying nikkas in for Wild Kings Nights :russ: this shyt was a colossal waste of time & money that could've went towards more serious federal matters :manny:

It’s pathetic but prosecutors don’t care why/how they get you. They got you

There is case law and precedent to consider. Judge also has to look at comparable cases and not deviate too much from those. And all the comparable cases the prosecution tried to use where much more heinous crimes, with many involving minors, and huge organized sex rings etc. There were hardly any cases where the john gets charged with the mann act. And even pimps have got only a few years. He would have got time served and the judge was boxed in by these cases the defense brought up. Only reason he didn't get time served was cause the judge included acquitted conduct.
