Not going to lie. Everything I hear about this game is troubling. Rocky development. Half their team bolted to Dice. Not even having a story written when the game drops less then a year. This video which basically describes another half baked casual console MMO AKA Destiny

How lame, the entire world should be centered around PvP, the uneasy meetings between players is the whole point of games in worlds like this.

In all honesty that would be terrible because the community would ruin it. It would evolve into some GTA free roam fukkery shyt and that would get old fast. There has to be some balance. They just need to add more content/options in these dark area(and add more dark areas because apparently theres only one)

They basically fumbled something so painfully obvious, which is make the world unforgiving as fukk. You should be able to lose your gear, and the entire world should be PvP.
and there should be proximity voice chat

Nah, losing your shyt would prevent that from happening, like Jackfrags said in the video, the risk vs reward is all off. If the game were built right, you could implement a system where not killing players is more beneficial, but if you want to do it then go for it.


DayZ operates under this principle, and people love it because it makes player encounters so dangerous or rewarding when you band together with someone that has shyt you need and now you got another gun on your side. At some point, one of these console developers is going to try it and it will be a hit :yeshrug:
