In all honesty that would be terrible because the community would ruin it. It would evolve into some GTA free roam fukkery shyt and that would get old fast
Nah, losing your shyt would prevent that from happening, like Jackfrags said in the video, the risk vs reward is all off. If the game were built right, you could implement a system where not killing players is more beneficial, but if you want to do it then go for it.
DayZ operates under this principle, and people love it because it makes player encounters so dangerous or rewarding when you band together with someone that has shyt you need and now you got another gun on your side. At some point, one of these console developers is going to try it and it will be a hit
