average voter doesn't care about stuff like that. Average voter doesn't even watch debates. All they see is someone who isn't trump but isn't a self admitted socialist. That's literally all the average voter sees. They don't care about the details. That's what so many here are failing to see. It doesn't make them stupid. We have to be in love. Republicans have already made up their mind to fight. That's how you win wars. We have dudes sitting around in the trenches crying because their bullets aren't hollow tipped. That's not how you fight a war. You win a war by fighting with whatever you have available. That's ultimately how Republicans eked out this victory. They didn't initially want Trump and talked crazy shyt about him. But once he was chosen they circled the wagons. nikkas are running for the hills here. Once again...not how you win a war.

This country is going to continue to get what it deserves until it becomes nothing more than a footnote in history. I can tell a lot of you are going to be taken by surprise when this happens.

America is going to have the honor of watching it's youth suffer immensely. Seriously, some of you will see your children/grandchildren die in horrible ways. Or you'll wish for their deaths, as relief.

You'll look back and say, "We should have gotten in line behind the guy with the juice, like the GOP did with Trump." Policy change that was only openly discussed on the fringes a decade ago is now a strong possibility if not reality in many cases.

The left will always be losers. They have the right ideas but are handicapped because being "right" is more important than seeing your right ideas become a reality in their eyes. The Republicans have the levers of power and a dwindling but rabid base. The Democrats have the "moral high ground," Twitter hot takes and clapbacks, and the vast majority of the population on their side and they can't do a thing with it.

The fact that Trump won in the first place was a reflection of the impotence of the party. The fact that Trump will have four years of unmatched corruption, incompetence, apathy and political malevolence behind him and he even has a SLIGHT chance, let alone the very REAL chance he has at reelection, shows that the Democratic party needs to be blown up and rebuilt from the ground up.

It was at first the republican party we know today, then it changed over to the People's party(working class/middle class/poor people's party). then it in the past 30 or so years has turned into the Corporate Party.

Bernie is pushing the people's party version of the dem party. and he has every right to do so. Why do we think we have to give the party to the corporate elite? just because they said so?
