No, he's running for the Democratic nomination because he needs to not split the vote with a Democratic candidate when he's running on ideas that are all supported by Democratic voters. Any 3-way race between Bernie, Trump, and a Democrat would automatically give the race to Trump because Bernie would be pulling most of his votes from the Democrat.
