Selling weed is not hard.
I'm from Massachusetts where there are over 100 colleges and universities, that's a crazy amount of clientele.
Back in the early 2000's, people were getting BC Bud for about 1500-1800 a pound from multiple plugs in Canada and transportation would cost 400-500 a pound, so their costs were around 2000-2300.
A person I know moved about 100 pounds a week, his whole group averaged 300-500 pounds a week depending on supply. There was never enough to go around, the market in Massachusetts was just too big. He never sold any pound for less than 250 profit. There were some people who only did 100 profit but they all only sold in bulk; 20-50-100 packs. If someone was buying 1-5 pounds, he'd tax them for 800-1000 each. And the connects in Canada gave them this shyt on consignment. shyt was just too easy.
Until it wasn't so easy anymore. There definitely were droughts, so they would go a month or so without any work. And when you're bored you just go and spend money on shyt for no reason. Gambling became an issue for a lot of people. There were people finessing plugs left and right though and shyt got messy. People got caught with hundreds of thousands of dollars transporting the money back to the connect. Plugs weren't fronting 100s of pounds anymore. Losses added up. People got caught up. Etc etc. His connect got busted, he walked away from the game.
Things done changed now. Ain't no one smoking Canadian weed anymore because everyone wants Cali weed. And no one in Cali is giving you shyt on consignment.
People I know still in it have to have the cash to do it. They're all getting it from the Bay and prices range from 1000-1400 for outdoors, 1300-1900 for greenhouse, and up to about 3600 for the most fire indoors. This is all high grade strains mostly kush because it's easy to move. They buy those, pay 200-300 for transportation, and get rid of it for 200-300 in profit each pound. You can still make good money but if you lose a shipment you're out 20-40k, shyt sucks.
