They should let Roman Reigns be the hero that defeats Rusev...and Cena should have gone on break to "train" after his first loss to Lesnar...he gets that monster pop when he finally comes back

but....since the E doesn't pay the guys when they don't perform i'm guessing part of the reason Cena doesn't take time off or wrestlers in general don't take strategic time off is because they aren't on salaries and Cena seems to enjoy the money he makes with a lavish lifestyle and he probably would go into debt if he took significant time off

you dont get it, it doesnt make sense to feud Rusev with Cena this early into his WWE career, it hasnt even been a year.

I'd rather Cena lose b/c of Lana's interference, REIGNS unexpectedly beats Rusev clean BEFORE Cena has a chance, THEN Cena beats Rusev with the help of Henry, Swagger, and whoever.... :cenasabo:

Somewhere down the line, Rusev gets another streak and a U.S. title reign. We forget that he's been beaten b/c we won't consider a first loss to Reigns a burial. You get Cena and Reigns "beef". All is well in the IWC...

rusev is done whether he gets in ring with cena or not.
yet, he is better off just playing this out where his course is gonna likely end up anyway.

I haven't read too many replies, but I'm sure is the sentiment is that once Rusev gets in the ring with Cena, it's over for him and I agree. At least with Roman Reigns, it's a different babyface conquering the heel. I can't think of a monster or foreign heel in the history of wrestling that didn't take an L to a major babyface. You just hope that you've built them up to a credible enough threat that the heel will still be strong after the loss. You don't want another Wyatt situation on your hands. Rusev is about to take out the other member of the World's Largest Tag Team, so I think they're doing a good job with him.

It looks like this was what they had planned for Rusev all along, tbh. Running through the midcard for months, no title chases, basically biding time until they needed something for Cena to do.

Rusev doesn't do 20 moves either but he knows how to have a good to solid match for his style and lays his stuff in and puts the accolade In snug now .
