Bethesda didn't own Fallout until 3. People from Obsidian were behind the originals, which is why it fits the lore better than 3 and 4. Fallout was post, post apocalyptic, which is why Fallout 1,2, and New Vegas felt more lived in. Mid at best? New Vegas stands today as one of the best RPGs of the last generation, not Fallout 3.

Who is even playing fallout 1 and 2 . Most people barely acknowledge the fallout series until 3 cause wasn't nobody trying to play that top down isometric trash

I'm talking about Outer Worlds being mid. Obsidian games are mid in general except for New Vegas. Malachi Flynn scored 50 points in an nba one time

Fallout 3 sold more than fallout 1 and 2 combined. Not a good look for Obsidian .
