So half the population gonna be homeless, and society not collapse?

Get a job Grouch.... 1 year to chill in the cut and stack bread. Free ride is over, get to work or get to living under a bridge... Good news their isn't enough manpower to evict millions...so nothing is going to happen any time soon...

Your choice....

I Don’t Have The Answers, I’m Only Speaking On The Part Where Folks Felt Fooled Into Believing They Were Living For Free

Are people assuming that the majority of people or even half weren’t paying rent this whole time? I can get people being a few months behind maybe but if they didn’t pay any rent at all to me that’s way different.

also does this mean that people can instantly be evicted or does the land lord have to now file in court and wait for the proceedings to occur and have the sheriff execute.

Like I said in that AMC thread. Them cats always seem to be at or headed towards recess when things get ready to hit the fan. Watch them come back in Mid-September or whatever and bytch about the sense of urgency and not having enough time to get everything done :mjlol:

It's a joke

If anything they should be working harder than other americans, rather than not working at all :russ:

They have a staff of like 5-15 aides that do the heavy lifting (relatively speaking), they get a summary of what any legislation is and to either vote yay or nay on it, then go on TV and act outraged once a week. total disgrace

That's a misconception that isn't necessarily true depending on the city and state you're living in as there are certain loopholes you could use to kick a tenant out. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people weren't just not paying their rent the entire pandemic and were actually trying to work out deals with their landlords, but just couldn't come up on the bread to do so.

There's also the not talked about issue that a lot of tenants left the property out of fear when the moratorium would expire (kept getting extended), so they ended up homeless with an eviction on their credit even if they came up on the funds to get another place to stay.

They're literally wanting him to defy what the Supreme Court said and extend the moratorium long enough for them to enjoy their vacation until Mid-September when they have to come back. So now they're big mad that they might have to bring their asses to work earlier than they planned to come up with an extension:laff:

Exactly like all of them originally agreeing to the $600 stimulus check so they could go home for the Holidays and worry about the fallout weeks later. Only to have Trump mention the $2,000 and them having to come back from vacation earlier than planned just to vote on it :laff:

The House is already in recess and the Senate is joining them next week :mjlol:

So some members of Congress are big mad that Biden won't extend the moratorium even when he and the Supreme Court flat out admitted that they would only extend the moratorium with Congressional Authorization.

If that's the case, then why are y'all going home until Mid-September knowing that you got work to do. That's not even counting the the debt ceiling issue that the Feds are having to cover for Congress inactions until they reconvene next month :laff:

Them rental prices about to drop if a lot of folks getting evicted.

Also a big reason rental prices are shooting up is due to property values going up. So the property owner says why am I charging xxx for rent. When this property is worth xxxxxxx. So let me charge xxxx for rent now.

A guy who manages properties told me this is exactly what is happening with the owners.

Yep!!! The realtor that handles two of my family properties have been telling his to sell and think about increasing rent on 1 because it’s a sellers market right now

Idiots keep voting for these people every 2/6 years. Congress always gets the low approval ratings yet people keep them in office.
