August 31st is the last day of the eviction moratorium throughout the whole state of New York.

Thereby ending on September 1st.

Everyone is pointing the finger and blaming each other instead of figuring out a way to extend the moratorium. If Congress feels that bad about it, then bring their ass back to work early from vacation and make it happen.

I'm not frustrated at anyone this country is evil. This is literally the 2008 housing crisis all over again just in a different way. We continue to make the same mistakes, the big problem here is None of the people in power actually give a shyt.

Why would they care when they'll be fine regardless of what happens because of their political stature and the power/perks that come along with it?

What's essentially going on now is that they are asking and begging states to cover and shield for the business that they failed to handle until they come back from vacation in Mid-September. Problem is that the state and local governments are at the mercy of the courts when it comes to judges as well.

shyt like this is why you can’t trust the landlords and government should’ve just paid them directly instead after the tenants requested funds. it was a mistake not to centralize this entire effort. Tenant requests funds, funds sent directly to the landlord in the name of the tenant on behalf of the USG. Problem solved. How easy would that have been?

People with way more resources and direct ears to politicians who are constantly bailed out and coddled? If they are of young age
Who was going to watch them
Daycare is expensive as fukk
What if she was actually scared to work during the pandemic
Was this before vaccines(which are not a cure as this board would have you believe)

Trying to get a job when thousands upon thousands of applicants were trying to do the same thing to keep their heads above water
People act like they were just hiring folks for full time positions

On minimum wage
If your rent is $750 and above

Electricity
Gas for your car(god forbid it breaks down)
Also public assistance offices were inundated with all kinds of paperwork for people in need
