U don't like no limit?
Plus Scarface put out unbreakable in 97
By 97, I wasn't a fan. I'm from the Bay and P put out a compilation called West Coast Bad Boyz Vol 2 in 94 that's a Bay classic. I also had the 99 ways to die EP. I copped True in 95, but thought it was kinda wack. So I was off No Limit at that point. I copped Tru 2 Da Game and Ghetto D though. And the Kane and Abel album. And Bout it and the Hook Up. I thought they were all mediocre.

Yeah Face kept putting out dope shyt. Remember, I'm saying 97 was the start of the ending. Not that everything was wack by then.

Giving Jay-Z '96?

He owned no part of that year. This could have been executed much better. With that said, the drop off evident.

Tha Grizzle State
Del did not go gold Breh. That album was only available on the Hiero website. It was shelved by Electra. It didn't see a CD release until years later.

Coolio and Mack 10 were on major labels.
Coolio's album came and went. Mack's album made a little noise. It was an afterthought when evaluating the year as a whole though.

That's why I say the west was "dead" at that point.

Damn, they had to re- release his album?
:mjcry:
As for Coolio and 10, wow on major labels, still got ignored by Hip-Hop overall - I see what you mean because it once again took Dre for anyone to give a fukk about WC Hip-Hop.
