Have a better Health and Dental plan for one

Why is a pro athlete who literally faces dental risks everytime he shows up to work having to cover his Dental Bills out of pocket?

You would think something such as Dental fees would automatically be covered in an illustrious league like the NBA.

The bills might be for voluntary procedures like the fake teeth

A better health and dental plan? I’m sure their plans are some of the best on earth. Why are you sticking up for this dumbass nikka? Everyone doesn’t need saving

If you owe $35k to a dentist, it's likely because you're doing a bunch of cosmetic shyt. This isn't money owed because he couldn't pay for a cleaning or Invisalign.

The NBA offers dental plans to all of the players.

But the players have to opt-in. And those plans are like any other, they cover the health of your teeth. They don’t cover people trying to get veneers and all that. That's a cosmetic thing.

Bro just had a problem with paying what looked like every damn bill he owed on. From barbers to rent. He just ain't paying sh*t.

Imagine how many guys been in the league since he was drafted, yet we haven’t heard about this type of shyt. Still, there are people who somehow wanna make this the league’s fault and not his :mindblown:

While this thread was made his IG showed that he was on a yacht with some foreign only fans sex worker, and some people are still like “the league need to more for him, so he can pay his dentist”

The NBA Union and P.A does cover Medical and Dental insurance for all current and retired NBA players. In fact the NBA health insurance is a Cadillac plan (meaning the most extensive and wide range of benefits).

Beasley was just getting cosmetic dentistry procedures.

I remember a Club 520 episode where Teague was talking about how great the league's insurance was even for retired players.

And a lot of that cosmetic shyt is borderline medical malpractice. Putting veneers on dudes with bleeding gums (whose teeth will fall out soon). Without requiring any cleaning or maintenance first. Also I'm stunned how modern celebs - especially black ones tbh - aren't even getting good veneers that don't make you look like a clown. A healthy percentage of movie stars in the 90s and 00s had veneers and you'd never know if you didn't know what to look for. Now it's obvious because people are taking the cheapest, most suspect options.
