Not really. Folks of all ages, backgrounds, making all levels of income f*ck up money.
Facts. Just read a story about a white dude from the Hamptons who killed himself because he was 30+ million in debt from bad real estate deals and trying to keep up the front to his social circle.

In January, a celebrity barbershop with a long roster of NBA stars won a $26,827 judgment against Beasley. The barbershop, Cairo Cuts, operates in Milwaukee, where Beasley played for the Milwaukee Bucks from 2022-24.

I don’t know who’s worse, Beasley owing $26k in haircuts over 3 years or the predatory prices the barber charged for Beasley to have to owe $26k :picard:

Yup. I remember a thread on here about a couple who was thousands of dollars in credit card debt.

Overall, the national average card debt among cardholders with unpaid balances in Q1 2025 was $7,321, up 5.8% from $6,921 in Q1 2024. That includes debt from bank cards and retail credit cards.

I hope this isn't true man. Sounds like he was down on his luck and that contract could've solved most of his problems...in the temporary term at least. Sounds like he's havin a pretty bad go of it when it comes to managing his chili.

Someone that could burn through roughly $30 million after taxes in less than a 9 years wouldn't be alright if they put $200K a year in a basic savings account.
I don't beleive he did all that damage. He's just avoiding paying people that he can.

And yeah savings account is a bit much but gave it to a risk adverse investment setup and he could be fine.

This is sad man. I hope it's not true and he can clear his name and get money.
