The Firm was a dope album, it just came out at the wrong time.

how did they perform that song live on TV and it not be on the album?

HAHA great question.

Also I have never, to this day, heard a dirty version of this joint. anyone got that?

Desperados :blessed:

Canibus arguably had the best verse on the whole album.

Sent from a Super Samsung Galaxy 3 via Master Roshi's Island.

its funny about desperados while it was a great verse canibus's verse was way off topic for that song lol

The album was pretty damn good but it was just missing that "it" feeling to it. like somebody said, it wasa more of a compilation album that a group album.

The album is the type where I listen to it...throw it away...and then pick it up again...the expectation was just too high but def had some gems on that

I didn’t listen to the album in real time…was back in the CD era, didn’t cop and didn’t know anybody that had it…listened to the whole thing for the time a couple years ago, shyt is worse than I even expected it to be….

Escobar era Nas is one of my favorite versions of any rapper ever, and he’s barely on it :francis: ….Nas and AZ is one of my favorite unofficial rapper duos ever, and there’s not a single solitary track on here that I’d rank as among their best collabos …folks will say Phone Tap, but shyt is honestly mid from a duo with some certified classics together…I was expecting an album full of Mo Murder Mo Homicides….still kinda shocked how bad it is considering the people involved

fukk the revisionist shyt. That 40oz coaster was one of the most upsetting and disappointing albums of my youth. Luckily, the dude in the dorm room next to me bought it first at Tower Records during the Tuesday midnight sales they used to have. We all got to hear how trash it was and it saved us $18 that could go toward cisco wine and dirt weed. :wow:

That album wasn’t dope man, lol. It’s alright, that’s probably the lowest level prime Nas was ever at and Dr Dre gave them his throwaway beats…and the songs and ish overall were just average, even the 1-2 good joints are just good, not great (besides Phone Tap). The 2nd best record on there is Nore’s record really, ain’t even need Nature on that
