The Source were giving out Lifetime Achievement Award 5 mic ratings in this era, and many say this was one of them. Not a big Face listener, but most fans say this wasn't his best.

It's a 4.25 on the old Source ratings. It's better than the albums they gave 4 mics to, but not 4.5 worthy. It's a great album. It's just not his best. May have been his 3rd best at the time, and now maybe 5th or 6th.

Yes, it's his most easily digestible album, but am I the only one that sees the irony of folks in here bashing it for the same reasons they praise other albums?

It's a 4 mic album. It's never been a classic to me, for all the points you laid out.
