Yup, but it has been since arcades died in the mid 2000s.
Once you had to start having, the Internet, a online subscription, certain types of TV's different kind of controllers and more people were instantly gated out.
Things have been manageable for most with the help of gamestops offering trade in's and buying stuff used.
But as gaming becomes more and more digital and tech intensive it becomes more and more of a luxury.
PC gaming was considered the ultimate luxury gaming for a long time, now console gaming ain't too far off from those ranges
