As if the hype leading up to the Eagles Monday night matchup against the Giants wasn’t enough, Disney confirmed that a new trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be aired during halftime. It will also reportedly be aired simultaneously on the big screen at Lincoln Financial Field.

ESPN, which is owned by Disney, appears to be going all out promoting the game. I’ve heard from two separate sources that the network is planning on making all the screen graphics and on-air animations Star Wars themed, including the riff on the famed opening crawl.

Immediately after the trailer airs, fans will be able to purchase advance tickets online for the film, which opens December 18.
