He'd be eating in this current climate of music....interviews aren't necessary really, flooding the internet with music is fine, being socially awkward is acceptable in the music business, being/making emo music is damn near the norm.

He had everything in place to be successful, but he loved shooting himself in the foot. That situation where he had Dilla “executive producing” his album perfectly sums up why he flopped as an artist.
I think he would have had an even bigger mental collapse if he came out today. He was making a fool of himself back when you could hide/get away with a lot. He’d be doing something embarrassing on social media everyday in 2021, and image is more important than the music now.
This dude had zero self control or awareness. Some people just can’t handle the spotlight.

Honestly, dude coulda went down in history like Kanye if it wasn't for drugs and mental illness
Trust me breh, I know first hand Charles did this to himself. He truly let his team down by dealing with pressure in a unpleasant fashion. Literally pushed his people away. But life happens.
Btw a lot of this happened cause his hard drive broke. A engineer dropped it and Charles not being safe, didn’t have a back up. So a lot of that music he recorded and had ready to drop is gone. Imagine that as a artist smh.
For a few months, he reached that lupe level of rapping where he was cryptically telling stories with word play. It was fun to hear him gradually get better. It’s a shame what happened to him. I hope he’s well.
Dude legit had crazy potential......
