I just finished watching The Founder (great movie btw)
Dude was just immoral and ruthless.
He ran with the fast food system the McDonald brothers came up with and told them to bounce...then rubbed their name out from history and called himself the founder
They couldn't use their own name and had to rename their restaurant (the OG McDonald's) The Big M
....one of the brothers called it after they franchised it to him.."we have a wolf in the hen house".
He opened up a McDonald's next to them to put them out of business
Stealing that franchisee's wife
Bouncing on his day 1 ride or die wife when he started getting money
Having that second wife as a stop gap while his sidepiece was with her ex...soon as she gave the go ahead he got his lawyer to inform his wife he wants to divorce her

No, he completely put them out of business, took their name, and when they tried to open another burger joint under a different name, he built a McDonald's across the street and shut them down. He also shafted them on profit sharing because they weren't about their business and didn't seem to have good lawyers, if they had one.did they ever get their company back ?

Breh the Mcdonald brothers had to take the name down from their OG restaurant...that THEY had franchised to him.
They sold it for $2.7m after he applied pressure...his paper was longer and he told them he would bleed them dry in court. In the movie they wanted 1.5% royalties or some shyt forever...which would be worth $100m annually in royalties today...but he told them the board wouldn't sign off on any random expenses like that...but to make the deal go through he'll give them a gentleman's agreement to that effect. "You have my word. Let's do a deal..whatta ya say

Had the brother not been a a$$hole and compensated ole boy a few extra, they probably wouldnt have been ostracized out there own business model.

Yo in hindsight I found out the significance that scene where the wife of that franchisee hands the kids lollipops and Ray is
